Prishtina, July 10, 2019 - The chairperson of the Committee on Normative Matters, Zejnullah Gashi held a meeting with the Director of Prosecutions Performance Review Unit, Valon Jupa, to discuss finding advanced patterns and practices and incorporate them into sub-legal acts that are in the process of drafting.
The Kosovo Prosecutorial Council is in the process of preparing initiation for the drafting process, respectively amending and supplementing the Regulation on Prosecutions Performance Review Unit, the Administrative Instruction on the Prosecutors’ file, the Regulation on Professional Development of Prosecutors and Administrative Personnel, as well as other acts under the Work Plan of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council for 2019.
During this meeting, amendments to legislation undergone in recent months and the urgent need to amend the regulations and adapt them in the virtue of the laws in force were discussed, as well as a wide range of patterns from international case laws that can serve as good examples were taken into consideration, but only after having analyzed the possibilities of their adaptation to the circumstances and developments in Kosovo's prosecutorial system.
Consequently, at the meeting, it was agreed to build a system of continuous professional prosecutorial development, their profiling and performance assessment, based on the trainings they have attended, with the aim to positively affect the quality of each ones’ work.
