Pristina, July 4 2019- Deputy Chairman of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC), Mr.Arben Ismajli and the Chairman of the Kosovo Judicial Council (KJC), Skender Çoçaj, had a meeting with the EU experts for the drafting of the held a meeting with EU experts on drafting the Joint Counter-Terrorism Action Plan for the Western Balkan.
KPC Deputy Chairman Arben Ismajli said on this occasion that Kosovo prosecutorial system has consistently engaged in dealing with cases of terrorism and remains committed to strengthening existing mechanisms to increase efficiency in fighting it. "The Kosovo Prosecutorial System is always ready to be part of joint plans to combat terrorism and violent extremism. While inter-institutional and international cooperation on information gathering and exchange is a specific objective of the Kosovo 2019-2021 Strategic Plan, "Ismajli said.
At the end of his speech, Deputy Chairman Ismajli thanked the institutions of the European Union for their support in the fight against terrorism and violent extremism, expressing the will of the Kosovo prosecutorial system to deepen cooperation with all countries against terrorism.
The European Union has expressed high appraisal for commitment and support of Kosovo in drafting the Joint Counter-Terrorism Action Plan for the Western Balkan.
