Pristina, July 3 2019-The Chairman of Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC), Mr. Bahri Hyseni and the chairman of Kosovo Judicial Council (KJC), Mr. Skender Çoçaj, hosted a farewell meeting his Excellency, Norwegian Ambassador to Kosovo, Per Strand Sjaast, and Deputy Ambassador Stein Eivar Lothe.
The Chairmen Hyseni and Çoçaj expressed their special thanks to Ambassador Sjaastand and his Deputy Lothe for their continued work and contribution for the support given to advancing and strengthening the justice system in Kosovo.
During the stay of the Ambassador of Norway, Per Strand Sjaastad and Deputy Ambassador Stein Eivar Lothe in our country were achieved high results, especially in the various aspects of the implementation of the Case Management Information System (SMIL), which had a substantial impact to increase efficiency and transparency, to better manage the work and standardize the work process in courts and prosecutions.
On the other hand, Ambassador Sjaastad highly praised the cooperation with the Chairmen Hyseni and Çoçaj, saying he feels very pleased and honored that along with his deputy have served in Kosovo, thanking for the courage and the great support they have had towards SMIL. "For us it is very important to send Kosovo forward through the rule of law," said Ambassador Sjaastad at the farewell meeting.
Both councils remained committed and expressed readiness for further cooperation with the Norwegian state in the area of rule of law.
