Prishtina, 15th of June 2016 – There was held the one-hundred-seventeenth meeting of Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC), chaired by the Chairman of Prosecutorial Council, Blerim Isufaj.
During this meeting, members of Kosovo Prosecutorial Council have reviewed and approved some suggestions given by members of the Council regarding the Reports of the National Coordinator in charge of fighting Economic Crimes for the time periods, October-December 2015 and January-March 2016.
Today, members of the Council have reviewed the first budgetary request of Kosovo Prosecutorial Council for 2017, request that was approved upon some recommendations regarding its supplementing/amending.
Setting positions for Promotion and Transfer of Prosecutors throughout Prosecutions was one of the items of the agenda that was reviewed and approved by members of the Prosecutorial Council.
In the position of the Secretary of the Committee for Normative Acts was assigned by members of the Council, Valdrin Krasniqi, Legal Officer in the Secretariat of Prosecutorial Council.
Members of Prosecutorial Council have also taken the Decision that Secretaries of the Committees of Kosovo Prosecutorial Council shall be paid for their additional engagement in Committees. This Decision shall be effective until the issuance of a permanent Decision regulating this matter is in place.
Prosecutorial Council members during this meeting have also changed the composition of the Monitoring Committee in charge of fighting Corruption and Economic Crimes, including sequestration and confiscation of unlawfully acquired assets. Thus, instead of the so-far member of this Committee, prosecutor Shqipdon Fazliu, is assigned Prosecutor Laura Pula.
KPC members have assigned Prosecutor Arben Ismajli, from Prosecutor-members of Prosecutorial Council to be the Contact Person to whom shall be addressed information on eventual threats that may be addressed against Prosecutors.
